Guide pins are used to align mating connectors. They also can be used to help prevent contact damage due to mismatching mating connectors. Our custom machined guide pins are commonly manufactured from materials like alloy steel, which is very strong and can easily withstand wear and tear.
Knurled pins can feature straight or helical knurls. This surface ribbing allows for the uniform distribution of the retention force. Knurled pins work best with materials that are soft or have thin cross sections. Threaded pins provide strong rigidity and shear resistance, while tapered pins are best suited for close and tight connections.

Also, we use Statistical Process Control (SPC) throughout the manufacturing process. All custom machines parts are available in diameters ranging from 0.005 to 1.00 inches and lengths ranging from 0.005 to 10.00 inches. Other specifications include tight tolerance values of ± 0.0001 inches and surface finishes to 16 micro.
