About Minic Precision
Minic Precision Inc. was established in 1992 to meet the growing needs of the electronics assemblers requiring precision contacts and guide hardware. Operations started with the Swiss automatic cam operated machines manufactured by Tornos and Bechler in Switzerland. During the next few years, our reputation for high quality products and engineering design grew along with our customer base.

Our growth blossomed in the ensuing years as we expanded our customer base to include the United States Military along with the automotive, medical and aerospace industries. In 1998 Minic Precision, Inc. built a state of the art environmentally controlled facility in Spring Grove, IL. This expansion allowed us to update our manufacturing capabilities to include various Citizen multi axis Swiss CNC controlled machines.

In early 2002, we began the process of implementing a world class quality and process tracking system. We installed a software driven quality program to allow us to efficiently run our plant operations and to meet and exceed the requirements to become ISO 9001 registered. In March of 2003, we were awarded certification and registration to the ISO 9001:2000 standard by the prestigious quality auditing firm of Entela, Inc. Since that time, we have continued improving our systems and have upgraded our certification - first to ISO 9001:2008, and then to ISO 9001:2015.  We have also changed our registrar to UL-DQS.

We have always been at the leading edge of our constantly changing industry. From the beginning, our team work philosophy has enabled us to work with our customers to adapt to their growing requirements. This included the redesign of products to meet the standards of ROHS compliance and also enabled us to become ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) registered and compliant.

As Minic Precision, Inc. has grown through the years, we have never lost sight of our commitment to the manufacturing of the highest quality precision products. Working as a team with our customers we will continue to facilitate their ability to be competitive in the ever changing world market place.

Our Current Equipment Lineup
Swiss GT 13
Up to 30 tools, including 12 driven tools, the Swiss GT 13 is equipped with three motors to drive the tools. A modular position is available to accommodate the addition of advanced tooling. The rotating tool holders are easily exchangeable and compatible with the Swiss GT 26 and the Swiss GT 32.
Swiss DT 13
The Swiss DT range of Swiss-type lathes meets the various requirements of typical long and and short turned parts. Designed to machine bars of up to 13 mm in diameter, this simple and easy-to-use machine allows us to achieve measurable production improvements. Thanks to advanced technical features and its efficient five-axis kinematics, the DT range is perfect for all our turning tasks.
TISIS
TISIS enables detailed monitoring of your machine inventory. Monitoring includes not only the status of the machines in the workshop, but also an overview of current production : the workpiece counter, remaining production time and the name and drawing of the workpiece are available at any time. This all adds up to high efficiency and less waste reducing costs to our clients.
Active Chip Breaker
The Tornos Active Chip Breaker (ACB) system uses new cutting technology, which is both universal and highly effective, enabling virtually all part geometries to be machined from the most varied of materials. Chips are broken up in a controlled fashion, eliminating machine downtime caused by the accumulation of chips.
