Shafts at Minic Precision, Inc. are available with diameters ranging from 0.010 to 1.00 inches and lengths ranging from 0.010 to 10.00 inches. Precision ground shafts, steering shafts, welded shafts, motor shafts, precision long turned shafts, linkages and component assemblies are some examples of the types of shafts we can produce. Our shafts have tight tolerance values of down to ± 0.0001 inches and are manufactured from materials of the finest quality.
The processes that are employed at Minic Precision, Inc. to machine shafts are CNC Swiss turning, CNC milling, cold heading and CAM Swiss automatic lathing. Cold heading is a metal forming process in which high pressure is applied, and is a common method of machining cylindrical parts.
Our custom machined shafts are used in motors, pumps, valves, hydraulics and medical equipment. Some of the secondary services we offer include broaching, grinding, heat treating, plating, tapping, thread rolling and tumbling.
